Re-opening of the right Rhine Valley line

Since 1 May, 5:00am, the north-south track of the affected section between Loreley and Kamp-Bornhofen has been available for train journeys again. According to current forecasts, the route should be open to both tracks again from the morning of 9 May.

Most of the diversion measures taken by DB Netz have already been withdrawn. Due to single-track operations only, increased backlogs and further ad-hoc diversions are to be expected until Sunday.

On 15 March a landslide has caused major interruptions on the Rhine Valley line. The line was closed for seven weeks in order to remove the material from the tracks and repair the damage on the infrastructure.
