Main Achievements of RFC Rhine-Alpine
Revision of scope, approach & working structure
At a strategy workshop in the beginning of 2016, the MB members confirmed growth in international rail freight on RFC Rhine-Alpine as the main objective of the cooperation. The defined priorities to reach this objective are:
to improve the international capacity product;
to increase quality of performance in international rail freight;
to improve coordination of works/TCR;
to harmonise terms and conditions, procedures, etc. related to IMs and RUs (help of MoTs and NSAs needed);
to support the improvement of infrastructure and interoperability/ERTMS.
During the year 2016 the objectives for the coming years were further detailed and initial parts of the work plans of the working groups were adapted. Several work- shops took place between the MB, the PMO and the working group leaders of RFC Rhine-Alpine.
