We create added value for our customers in international rail freight and support model shift.

Thanks to intensive cooperation between the involved infrastructure managers, it is possible to offer an improved service concept to railway undertakings (RUs), which will support them in optimising their productivity and business models for the benefit of competitive rail transport services. Along the lines of "all from a single source", the interfaces shall be minimised to give customers the greatest possible convenience and maximum transparency for using the corridor. For this purpose the Corridor One-Stop-Shop (C-OSS) has been set up.

Interoperability is to be implemented on the whole route with state-of-the-art technical features (ERTMS). This results in a technically consistent infrastructure chain. There will be great potential for reducing transportation times and for enhancing both flexibility and quality. Accordingly, there shall be savings in costs and an improved competitivity. Capacities will be expanded not only by improving the logistics chain and higher productivity: numerous outstanding infrastructure projects also take account of the increasing demand for capacity along the Corridor. Altogether, a total service concept combined with improved support will bring the customer a clear added value in using the corridor. The EEIG Corridor Rhine-Alpine EWIV is coordinating a programme of measures to bring about the greatest possible simplification in cross-border rail transport for the customer. On a political level, our task is to harmonise the interests of the various European countries and the infrastructure managers to facilitate rail freight transport to move from road to rail.
