Port of Terneuzen joins RFC Rhine-Alpine
RFC Rhine-Alpine is happy to announce that the Sea Port of Terneuzen is now linked to our corridor! The respective railway lines, the handover points to terminals and some selected major intermodal/bulk terminals are already added to our map on the Customer Information Platform. In the frame of the regular update in January 2020 more information will be available in book 3 (Terminal list) of our Customer Information Document.
With Terneuzen, the third of the four ports which are affiliated under the roof of North Sea Ports, joins RFC Rhine-Alpine. North Sea Ports represents a total maritime cargo transshipment of more than 70 mio tonnes.
The hinterland strategy focuses on the development of rail market share. In Terneuzen rail freight volumes are expected to double in the next ten years.
