Changing of Managing Directors: Dr. Christiane Warnecke is leaving RFC Rhine-Alpine
After an incredible 5 ½ years, Dr. Christiane Warnecke is leaving RFC Rhine-Alpine. We wish her all the best for her long sabbatical!
During the years as our Managing Director, she has used her outstanding dedication and excellent professional and diplomatic skills to make progress in international co-operation on RFC Rhine-Alpine and beyond in the whole European railway network. She was a co-developer of the International Contingency Management which was introduced by European IMs after the Rastatt disruption. She contributed with her team to the development of performance management in the transport chain, both with stakeholder task forces and with the recent RFC Rhine-Alpine feasibility study on Rail Collaborative Decision Making. During the last year, Christiane also raised awareness on the upcoming capacity challenge on our corridor and on the urgency of improved international coordination of infrastructure development in Europe to reach the high goals for rail freight growth.
On 1 September 2021, Marc Adler is taking over the position as Managing Director of RFC Rhine-Alpine. For several years, Marc has worked as senior project manager in leading development projects at DB Netz. Before starting his career in the railway industry, he worked in management positions in the health sector, including the management of a hospital.
We are happy to have you on board, Marc!
