With the opening of the Gotthard Basis Tunnel (GBT) by the end of 2016, journey time for crossing the Alps via rail could be reduced significantly. This will be enhanced after finishing the Ceneri Base Tunnel (CBT) and the construction works up front and behind the GBT from 2021.
In the meantime, SBB Infra together with RFI and DB Netz AG set up a pilot to offer, for TT 2019, international pre-constructed paths with very competitive journey times on the routing from the Cologne to the Milan area.
We would like to invite you to take a look at our offer, which we have published today in the Pre-arranged Path (PaP) catalogue for the timetable 2019; individual PaPs are published in PCS Next Generation under the following link: https://pcs-online.rne.eu/
You can also download the path catalogue from our download section as well as all relevant information about booking and allocation conditions at the Corridor Information Document (CID) book IV (also available in our Customer Information Platform (CIP)).
