Information of last RU advisory board meeting

The agenda of the RU advisory board reflects the most important and actual topics. Recently, the EEIG invited DLR (German research centre for aerospace, institute for traffic) to present and explain its ETCS migration planning tool in the RU advisory board. The tool analyses various migration strategies and provides the most appropriate solution possible, based on vital trackside/ train borne parameters. Apart from this, a corridor related study launched by the Ministries of Transport on noise mitigation and its economic impacts was discussed. Both the RUs and the EEIG were able to forward their know-how and expertise in the study. The RU advisory board was also used for intense discussions and suggestions from the RUs for further quality improvements on the corridor - regarding both traffic and services. The EEIG will continue this close cooperation on practical issues with the RUs. The next meeting is already scheduled for 15th September 2010 at the premises of the EEIG in Frankfurt/ Germany.
